Empowering Communities: CALIFORLEB's Impact through the Cedar Cup Tournament

CALIFORLEB, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting Lebanese communities in California through sports and various activities, hosted the highly anticipated Cedar Cup this weekend at The Kinecta Soccer Center in Torrance. The event was more than just a soccer tournament; it was a gathering of friends, families, and supporters with a shared mission to help those in need in Lebanon.


The Cedar Cup was a vibrant celebration, featuring 10 teams competing in a spirited and friendly soccer tournament. The atmosphere was electric as players took to the field, showcasing their skills and teamwork. The winning team, Alpha961, impressed everyone with their excellent performance, taking home the trophy and earning bragging rights until the next Cedar Cup.


The event was held with a significant cause in mind: raising funds to purchase soccer cleats for needy children in Lebanon. With the economic situation in Lebanon becoming increasingly challenging, CALIFORLEB sought to make a tangible difference in the lives of young aspiring soccer players. The funds raised from the Cedar Cup will go a long way toward achieving that goal.


Fieldtalk, a dynamica media outlet celebrating soccer at all levels and commited to authenitic coverage, capturing the spirit of the game through engaging storytelling, innovative marketing and comminiity engagement initiatives, was also present at the event, not only participating in the tournament but also covering the action and capturing the energy of the day.
