KCB Push Shabana closer to Relegation.

KCB FC recorded their first win of the year 2024 after downing Shabana FC 3-2 in a FKFPL match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Friday 8th March 2024.

The loss piles more pressure on the relagation battling Glamour Boys while the Bankers moved up to the ninth spot in the league standings. Both teams looked solid but it was KCB who broke the deadlock after Derrick Otanga converted from the spot. Shabana tried to get back into game throwing attacks after the other but the banker’s Philemon Nyakwaka dimmed their hopes with a fine finish before the game headed for the break.

In search for points, Sammy Omollo Introduced former KCB man Enoch Agwanda after the break. With only the goalkeeper to beat ,Justine Omwando wasted Shabana’s chance of narrowing the lead. Shabana chasing the game kept piling the pressure and KCB capitalized on their defensive lapse to extend the lead to three and a second for Derrick Otanga.

Two late goals from the Glamour Boys could not change the final outcome. Shabana’s Brian Magares ended his goal drought after his effort found the back of the net before an own goal by the banker’s Farouk Shikhalo from Enoch Agwandas throw in.
