LA Galaxy captain Javier Hernandez did not hold back his frustration in a post-match interview. He admitted, "We need to do different things obviously to get out of here, I don't know what... We need to figure out, but we cannot keep doing the same things and waiting for the same results." His sentiment of dissatisfaction was echoed in his further statement, "We're not doing enough. That's for sure. All of us. That's for sure. That's why we are where we are."
The 3-1 defeat in front of their own fans only added to the existing frustration of the recently returned supporters who started shouting " we want Klein out!" at the netting of the 3rd goal against LA Galaxy.
This disappointment was further compounded by some fans leaving the stands in frustration before the end of the match.
With such a result already having severe consequences - LA Galaxy sit second-to-last in the Western Conference - the team will have to put all their efforts into Wednesday’s Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match against Seattle Sounders at Dignity Health Sports Park if they are to turn their fortunes around.
