Tusker down Struggling Muhoroni Youth

Visiting brewers moved up to 2nd place on the log after downing Muhoroni Youth. Erick Kapaito was the star of the show as his brace ensured the visitors got maximum points in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match played on Saturday, March 2, 2023 in Muhoroni Stadium.

The Brewers opened their scoring account in the 36th minute when Kapaito capitalized on a defensive lapse to drive home a cross well delivered by Daniel Sakari. Muhoroni Youth’s goalkeeper, Peter Larry, who had kept busy in the early exchanges was finally beaten.

Muhoroni Youth were the better side and piled a lot of pressure on the visitors but would rue their missed chances. Abubakar Eneji had a day to forget and when he had a one on one chance with only the keeper to beat, his shot was deflected for corner.

Erick Zakayos assist 10 minutes after the break extended the visitors lead dimming the home sides hope of coming back into the game.

With slightly under ten minutes to play, Samwel Adewole scored a consolation goal for the homeside to deny Tusker a clean sheet.Muhoroni Youth are stuck at 16th place and are battling relegation.
